Evans, P.Eng. Director of Public Works W.A.TWELVETREES,P.Eng. Commissioner of Works Dear Sir: Please quote our ref: RE: Intersection of Liberty and Concession Streets TRA-RR14-SIG in Bowmanville We have recently completed an 8-hour turning movement count at the intersection of Regional Road No. 14 (Liberty Street) and Concession Street in Bowmanville. A copy of the volume summary and the traffic signal warrant sheets are attached for your information. Traffic signals are not warranted and the existing 4-way stop control still appears to be reasonably effective and relatively safe. We noted a significant increase in the traffic volumes through the intersection since our previous count in 1984. With the current development in the vicinity of this intersection, we expect traffic volumes to continue to grow at a faster than normal rate. We will , therefore, place the intersection of Liberty and Concession Streets on our list of locations for annual review. If, and when, traffic control signals become warranted, we will consider their installation. I trust this is the information you require to deal with your Council ' s Resolution No. C-746-88.
