By-Law # MEETING: GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION MEETING DATE: JANUARY 9, 1989 REPORT #: WD-5-89 FILE #: DC-33-2 MECT: DEDICATION OF PART 4' of PLAN 1OR-3079 AS PUBLIC ROAD ALLOWANCE RENWICK ROAD RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT this report be received; and 2. THAT a By-law be passed to dedicate Part 4 of Plan 1OR-3079 as Public Road Allowance and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law; and 3. THAT a copy of this report be forwarded to Mr. George L. Smith, Lawyer, 226 Queen Street, P.O. Box 1599, Port Perry, Ontario, LOB 1NO. REPORT 1.0 BACKGROUND 1.1 Attached is a letter from George L. Smith, requesting the removal of of a 0.3 metre reserve described as Part 4 of Plan 1OR-3079 '(see Attachment No. 1) . The purpose of Mr. Smith's request is to provide clear and unobstructed access to his client's property. 1.3 The property in question is located in Courtice abutting the east side of Renwick Drive in the White Cliffe Development (see Attachment N0.2) . 2 Page 2 WD-5-89 1.3 The east side of Renwick Drive is protected by a 0.3 metre reserve to control development of abutting lands. 1.4 Mr. Smith's client has developed by Land Division Application a series of residential lots, which were protected by this reserve. As part of the Land Division Application procedure the applicant was required to fulfill a number of conditions. The conditions of Land Division have now been satisfied and it is appropriate to deal with Mr. Smith's request and dedicate Part 4 of Plan 1OR-3079 as public road allowance. 2.0 RECOMMENDATION 2.1 It is, therefore, recommended, that a by-law be passed dedicating Part 4 of Plan 1OR-3079 as public road allowance and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law.
