HomeMy WebLinkAboutWD-2-89 10(b) TOWN OF NEWCASTLE REPORT File # 4Y W Res. 1 By-Law MEETING: GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION MEETING DATE: JANUARY 9, 1989 REPORT #: WD-2-89 FILE #: 1OM-781 SU&JECT: DEDICATION OF PART 19, PLAN 1OR-2773 KINGSWOOD DRIVE, COURTICE RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT this report be received; and 2. THAT a by-law be passed to dedicate Part 19 of Plan 1OR-2773 as public road allowance and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law. REPORT 1.0 BACKGROUND 1.1 The Town has received land division applications for the development of a parcel of land on Kingswood Drive which is located south of Highway #2 and east of Townline Road South in Courtice (see Attachment No.1) 1.2 The lands in question are protected by a 0.3 m reserve, described as Part 19, Plan 1OR-2773 which was required to control the development of this land (see Attachment No.2) . / /0 \ � \ Page 2 WD-2-89 1.3 Upon reviewing the land dlvlolou applications the Town had imposed several conditions. The applicant has satisfied all the conditions, and the aenereooeo were cleared. 1.4 The development of these lands has proceeded in a manner satisfactory to the Town and the 0.3 metre reserve is no longer required. Therefore, it is now appropriate to dedicate this 0.3 metre reserve as Poblln road allowance. 2^0 RECOMMENDATION 2.1 It lo^ therefore, recommended that a by-law he passed to dedicate Pact 19, Plan I0D_3773 as public road allowance and the mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law.
