SUBJECT: Summer Maintenance Policy - Respecting Parks,
Playgrounds and Sports Fields
Various outdoor facilities owned by the Town of
Newcastle and the Northumberland F, Newcastle Board
of Education, and others, are used by the Department
of Community Services and by various Organizations
for leisure sports activities.
To avoid duplication and conflict respecting the
maintenance of parks, playgrounds and sports fields,
the following policy is recommended:-
"THAT the Department of Community Services
be responsible for the maintenance of the
attached outdoor facilities located within
the Town of Newcastle, Lidless otherwise
expressed."
RECOMMENDATTON:-
THAT the report of the Director of Community Services
dated May 13th, 1931, with respect to establishing
of a Summer Maintenance Policy be adopted by the
Community Services Committee and for�,rarded to Council
for their approval .
