Mr. Don Welsh, Mr. Taylor and Mr. Allin of the Durham County County Federation of Agriculture. appeared .before Federation Council with a request that a half mill voluntary..levy• of be made on Farmers in the Municipality for the purposes. Agriculture of the Association and also that farm property should be..exempted from taxation for fire protection, etc. Resolution #C"74-298 Moved by Con. Tink, seconded by Con., Wearn. THAT Council concur with the request of a -� mill levy against farm assessment if agreeable to the farmer„ The Federation representatives were advised to send a letter to amplify the request about tax exemptions. Regional Mr. Bob Richardson, Regio-nal Works Commissioner, Works appeared before Council and gave an address on the Commission functions of the Regional Works Department and their involvement in Water and Sewage Services, also Regional Roads and Garbage disposal. Mr. Richardson also answered various questions of members of Council. Viking Mr. Tom Jackson of Viking Houses appeared before Houses Council with regard to a "group home" which he would like to set up in the Superintendent-Is residence_ at Pineridge School (South half of Lot 8, Concession 2, _. THAT the request as contained in his letter of February 19th} 1974, be referred to the Planning Advisory Committee to study and report back to Council. Salvation THAT a no parking sign be supplied to the Salvation Army Army in response to their request as contained in their Parking letter dated February 20th, 1974, to be used only for Request Sunday School parking as detailed in their letter. THAT the copy of a letter dated February 22nd, 1974, Robinson addressed by Mr. James W.
