RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-42-90 be received for information.

McEvoy.

2.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT
2 . 1 The drainage problems referred to in the letter from Mrs . McEvoy
were reviewed with her on Monday, May 14 .
2 .2 The problem is that the McEvoy property is shaped like a saucer and
there is no means for water to run-off the property. As a result,
the garage which is at or near the low point in the property is
flooded with as much as two feet of water during spring run-off and
during heavy rainstorms.

2 . 3 The solution to the problem is to construct a storm sewer system
to collect the water and to construct a manhole with a pump to pump
the water to a suitable discharge point.
2 .4 I advised Mrs. McEvoy to hire a consulting engineer to design a
storm drainage system to solve the problem.
3.0 RECOMMENDATION
3 . 1 In view of the above, it is recommended that this report be
received for information.
