SUB,JECT: REQUEST FROM MR. KEVIN ANYAN, 36 KING STREET EAST, BOWMANVILLE j
TO LOCATE A MOBILE HOTDOG STAND IN FRONT OF HIS RESTAURANT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-40-90 be received;
2 . THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement with
Mr. Kevin Anyan for the operation of a mobile hotdog stand in front
of his restaurant at 36 King Street East, Bowmanville; and
I
3 . THAT Mr. Kevin Anyan and Mr. Brad Clark be authorized of Council's
decision.

REPORT
1.0 BACKGROUND
1. 1 At a meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee
held on May 7, 1990, Resolution #GPA-356-90 was passed:
"THAT the delegation of Kevin Anyan be acknowledged
and referred to the Director of Public Works to
review the request in conjunction with the Regional
Health Department and the By-law Enforcement

THAT a report be forwarded to the General Purpose
and Adminstration Committee; and
THAT Mr. Kevin Anyan be advised of Council 's decision.
2.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT
2 . 1 A meeting has been held to discuss the matter with Duncan Legget,
Senior By-law Enforcement Officer, Mr. Brad Clark, Public Health
Inspector, Durham Region Health Department, Mr. Kevin Anyan and Mr.
Walter Evans .
2 .2 Mr. Brad Clark requested that Mr. Anyan make a formal application
to the Health Department which will then be reviewed. It appears
that there will be no problems with the regard to the operation of
the hotdog stand as proposed by Mr. Anyan.
3.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
3 . 1 In view of the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and Clerk
be authorized to execute an agreement with Mr. Kevin Anyan to
provide for the operation of a hotdog stand at 36 King Street East,
Bowmanville.
