THAT Report WD-12-90 be received; 2 . THAT no further action by taken on Mr. Scott's concern about the Gate 4 entrance to the Oshawa Ski Club; and 3 . THAT Mr. David Scott be advised of Council's decision. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- REPORT 1 . 0 ATTACHMENTS Attachment No. l: Key Map . . .2 040 REPORT NO. : WD-12-90 PAGE 2 2 . 0 BACKGROUND 2 . 1 At a meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee held on July 17, 1989 the following resolution was passed: "Pursuant to the presentation made by Mr. David Scott, President of the Oshawa Ski Club, wherein he stated that the left turn lane into Gate 4 of the Oshawa Ski Club could create a hazardous traffic situation, the Director of Works was requested to investigate the situation and prepare a report for the consideration of the General Purpose and Administration Committee at a future meeting. " 3 .0 REVIEW AND COMMENT 3 . 1 Regional Road Since the road adjacent to the Oshawa Ski Club is Regional Road #9 Mr. Scott's concerns have been reviewed with Staff of the Region's Works Department. They have advised that the Region has no plans to construct a left turn lane into the Oshawa Ski Club at Gate 4. 4 . 0 RECOMMENDATIONS 4. 1 In view of the above, it is recommended that no further action be taken regarding Mr. Scott's concerns and that Mr. Scott be advised of Council's decision.
