NOTICE -- THE NEXT REGULAR MLET ING WILL BE HELD MONDAY,
JUNE 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The regulk r meeting of this Board was held Monday, May 28 with
the following members present: Narda Hoogkamp, Fred Couch,
Murray Walton, Pauline Storks and Margaret Br ere t on .
Moved by Couch, seconded by Hoogkamp, the minutes be ado-oted
as read, Carried
The secretary reported Mr. Bell had calledand we should be
hearing from him in a week or two regarding the roofing .job.
The treasurer's report showed a balance of X1000.71 and the follovaing
bills were authorized to be paid on a motion by Walton which was
seconded by Couch and carried!

The secretary was instructed to bill the Library $7.50 for the
work done on the Library radiator.
The secretary was instructed to write Council requesting $3000.00
of our Municipal grant on a motion by Hoogkamp which was seconded
by Couch and carried!
The secretary was instructed to ask Smith Beverages for 5 pepsi,
3 orange, 2 mountain dew, 2 7up and 1000 cups for over the
Civic Holiday weekend.
Correspondence: Smith Beverages - agreeing to rental of re_mix
machine over Holiday weekend.
Lions' Club declining free offer of hail
facilities and 50-50 split of
receipts on holiday weekend.
The secretary was instructed to get in touch with Ivor Brawley
about the pins - asking for only 300 and having Newcastle and 'the
year& 1923-73 on the pin. It was moved by Hoogkamp, seconded by
Walton, we ask for 300 pins only and give the Lions' a cheoue for
X420.00 and if time cost to us of the pins is more than $1.40
each then we do not purchase any. Carried!
Albert was asked too fix the steps at the stage and the exit
doors.
It was decided to hold our June meeting on Monday, June 18 at
7:30 p.m.
Pauline was asked to secure the services of a band for our October
dance.
Fred was asked to look after the liquor for the play on Fri. , Aug. 3
