The minutes were read and approved on a motion by Couch, which was seconded by Beam and Carried! __ Business arising from the minutes: (a)brush at the Hall -nothing done as yet, but it will be cleaned up. (b) ( C) NO LOJTEHING signs -·-printed and have been posted in the Hal 1. Fred reported he had secured pails for extinguishing ( d ) (e) (f) cigarettes, etc., but they needed to be painted. Glenn Allin has been hired to change the locks on the cupboards in the upstairs kitchen. nothing to report on the roof speakers, as yet. t he secretary reported we had received the remainder of our Municipal Grant in the amount of $5000.00. -,l (g)the treasurer reported ,n1 ha,d received the 3rd. quarter rental payment from llurham Lodge 9 a!Bo a letter signifying the new rental agreement was acceptable. Custodian, Chris Barchartl, was present and was very upset because organizations renting the facilities seldom returned t!1ings to where they were initially found; i.e. signs, brooms, etc. Bills presented :for payment were as follows: Receiver General Jim Beam Narda Hoogkamp Audrey Walton Goode 1 s Hardware Merill Henry Bell Canada P.U.C. Cartied! Fred asked about changing the locks on the outside kitchen doors -it was decided not to. It was suggested we find out exactly how many cups & saucers there are in the kitchen {upstairs) -there was 80me question about there being enough for a full banquet. As far as all the fire safety equipment which it has become necessary to install is concerned, Fred reported a couple of meetin1�s of his committee had been held with the result an 'Ad for Tenders' had been placed in the Reporter without results except for� tender from R.H. Rickard Plumbing & Heating in the amount of $4-018.00. It was moved by Couch, seconded by Beam, we acce the R.H. Rickard Plumbing & Heating tender!of the new fire alarm requirements. Carried! Fred is to let Fire Chief Ha.yman know the contract bas been let and the work will commence as soon as possibleo There was a short diacussion on rental agreements with no conc�ete results. The rental rates will be discussed at the next meeting. Supervision nights were designa,ted. Narda asked about regulating the heat in the P.U.C. offices. It was noted the Libtary and the P.U.C. co-opeDate regarding the rads, which in turn keep the circulating pump running. Because there is still a problem 9 Chris was instructed to turn the front radiator, in the Library, off completely. It was moved by Couch, seconded by Beam, we adjourn. Carried!
