By-law 2025-042
Being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for The
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington to lift the Holding (H) Symbol on lands
located at 3 Lawson Road, in Courtice (SPA-2023-0004)
Under the authority granted by the Province of Ontario through the Municipal Act, 2001,
S.O. 2001, c.25 and the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, Municipal Council has
delegated to the Deputy CAO Planning & Infrastructure Services, with the passing of
By-law 2023-014, as amended in By-law 2001-072, the authority to approve
applications to remove Holding (H) Symbols and pass related by-laws pursuant to s.34
of the Planning Act.
Whereas the Deputy CAO, Planning & Infrastructure Services is satisfied that the
conditions for removing the Holding (H) Symbol on certain as shown on Schedule “A” to
this By-law.
Now therefore, be it enacted, and it is hereby enacted as a by-law of The Corporation of
the Municipality of Clarington as follows:
1. Schedule “4F” to By-law 84-63, as amended, is hereby further amended by
changing the zone designation from:
“(Holding) Urban Residential Type Three Exception ((H)R3-62) Zone” to
“Urban Residential Type Three Exception (R3-62) Zone”
“(Holding) Urban Residential Type Three Exception ((H)R3-63) Zone” to
“Urban Residential Type Three Exception (R3-63) Zone”
2. Schedule “A” attached hereto shall form part of the By-law.
3. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of approval, subject to the provisions
of Sections 34 and 36 of the Planning Act.
