AS PUBLIC ROAD ALLOWANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report be received; and
2. THAT a by-law be passed dedicating Part 1, 2 and 3 of Plan 1OR-3059
as Public Road Allowance and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized
to execute the necessary documents; and
3. THAT a copy of this report be forwarded to Mr. E. Laskowsky,
Barrister, Solicitor, Notary, P.O. Box 772, 73 Centre Street, Oshawa,
L1H 7M9.
REPORT
1.0 BACKGROUND
1.1 Attached is a copy of a letter from Anthony E. Laskowsky requesting
the removal of a 0.3 metre reserve described as Part 1, 2 and 3 of
Plan 1OR-3059 (See Attachment No.l.(a) and 1(b) .

1.2 The purpose of Mr. Laskowsky's request is to obtain clear and
unobstructed access to his client's property.
1.3 The property in question is located in Courtice abutting the east
side of Renwick Road in the White Cliffe Development
(see Attachment No.2) .
1.4 The east side of Renwick Road is protected by a 0.3 metre
reserve to control development of abutting lands.

1.5 Mr. Laskowsky's client has developed by Land Division Applications
a series of residential lots, which were protected by this reserve.
1.6 As part of the Land Division Application procedure the applicant
(Mr. Laskowsky's client) was required to fulfill a number of
conditions.
1.7 The conditions of Land Division have now been satisfied and it is
appropriate to deal with Mr. Laskowsky's request and dedicate
Part 1, 2 and 3 of Plan 1OR-3059 as public road allowance.
2.0 RECOMMENDATION
2.1 It is, therefore, recommended, that a by-law be passed dedicating
Part 1, 2 and 3 of Plan 1OR-3059 as public road allowance and that
the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law.

Please be advised that I am the solicitor for the above owners of the
above lands who are in the process of formalizing the Consent which was
granted by the Land Division Committee of the Region of Durham and have
paid all costs required by the Town of Newcastle and the Region of Durham
relative thereto.
I would kindly ask that the Town of Newcastle lift the part of Block
166 on Plan 1OM-797 which adjoins Part 1 on Plan 1OR-2720 and dedicate
same as a public highway. I require, in the meantime, a letter stating
that the Town of Newcastle will dedicate the said Block 166 as a public
highway in due course, and that all costs and charges thereto have been
fully paid.
