AS PUBLIC ROAD ALLOWANCE
KINGSWOOD DRIVE - COURTICE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT this report be received; and
2. THAT a By-Law be passed to dedicate Part 10 of Plan 1OR-2526
as public road allowance and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized
to execute said by-law.
3. THAT a copy of this report be forwarded to Mr. James N. Aitchison,
Barrister & Solicitor, 115 Simcoe Street South, P.O. Box 978,
Oshawa, Ontario, L1H 7N2.
1.0 BACKGROUND
1.1 Attached is a letter from James N. Aitchison requesting the dedication
of a 0.3 metre reserve (see Attachment No.1) .
1.2 The purpose of Mr. Aitchison request is to provide clear and
unobstructed access to his client's property.

1.3 The property in question is located south of Highway #2 and east of
Townline Road South in Courtice (see Attachment No.2) .
1.4 The purpose of the reserve is to control development of abutting
lands onto Kingswood Drive.
1.5 The abutting lands have been developed by Land Division
Application and as a result the Town imposed several conditions
upon same.
1.6 The applicant has satisfied the conditions of Land Division and it is
now appropriate to dedicate Part 10 of Plan 1OR-2526 as public road
allowance, (see Attachment No.3) .
2.0 RECOMMENDATION
2.1 It is, therefore, recommended that a by-law be passed to dedicate
Part 10 of plan JOR-2526 as public road allowance and that the Mayor
and Clerk be authorized to execute said by-law.
