RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT this report be received; and
3. THAT a copy of this report be forwarded to Mr. Ronald White,
26 Beech Avenue, Bowmanville, Ontario, L1C 3A2.
be so advised.
REPORT
1.0 BACKGROND
1.1 At a regular meeting of Council held on November 10, 1986, Council
passed Resolution #C-938-86 as follows:
That the communication dated October 21, 1986, from Mr. Ron White,
Immediate Past President, Lions Club of Bowmanville, 26 Beech Avenue,
Bowmanville, L1C 3A2, inviting Council to consider the installation
of "Pedestrian Signal Audio Devices" at all signalized intersections
for the assistance of the visually handicapped be received;
AND THAT the Clerk write to the Lions Club for a commitment to this
project and the correspondence be referred to the Director of Public
Works with the direction that he review the matter with Members of
the Lions Club, and prepare a report for the consideration of the
General Purpose and Administration Committee;
AND FURTHER THAT Mr. Ron White be advised of Council' s decision.

2.1 On February 9, 1988 wrote to Mr. White concerning
