RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT report WD-42-88 be received; and
2. THAT the offer of Jack and Reta Parkin, 148 Queen Street,
Bowmanville, to sell land to the Town of Newcastle for the purpose
of the reconstruction of Queen Street be accepted; and
3. THAT the Mayor and clerk be authorized to execute the necessary
documents.

REPORT
1. A small triangle of land approximately 96 square feet is required
from the property of 148 Queen Street, Bowmanville, to facilitate
the reconstruction of Queen Street, which is part of the 1988
road construction program.
2. The compensation of $1500.00 for the parcel of land is based on
a property appraisal done by Frank Sworik who is an accredited
land appraiser. It is, therefore, recommended that the offer to
sell for $1500.00 be accepted.
