Declarations of Pecuniary Interest 2. Land Acknowledgment Statement 3. Adoption of Agenda - Motion #24-032 - Moved by Sue White, seconded by Todd Taylor THAT: The revised agenda be accepted moving the elections to the end of the meeting. CARRIED 4. Adoption of Minutes - Motion #24-033 - Moved by Sue White, seconded by Todd Taylor THAT: The revised minutes be accepted. CARRIED 5. Manager's Report — Safe — Josh reviewed incident procedures with his staff and confirmed that the Chair/Vice Chair must be notified immediately. Josh informed the Board that 90% of the training certificates have been completed and logged in. Josh confirmed he is working on the completion of his supervisory/manager courses. Risk Management — The monthly reports were completed. All unused paint cans have been properly disposed of. The emergency contact list has been updated. A PPM/Ammonia sheet was created, and the emergency procedure posted on the compressor room door. The light covers above the ice were installed. The SW rink emergency exit door closer needs to be repaired. The canteen emergency light battery needs replacing. Rentals — The winter schedule is posted on our website. All October invoices for ice activities were mailed as well as the invoices for rink advertising. A cheque was received from Snack Vending for $332.17. 2. Repairs/Maintenance The pad light was repaired and all covers added to lights. Furnace `B" has been repaired. The motor/fan in the lady's washroom has been replaced. A new motor/pump was installed in the hot water tank in the office. Grip tape was installed in the stairwells and the dressing room numbers placed on the dressing doom doors. Josh reported he is still waiting for Gerr to repair or replace the motor for the front door outside push button and the door for gender neutral washroom to be repaired. He is also waiting for Brent's Plumbing for the repairs in the men's washroom and the shower head in room #4. The door handle to the rink is broken and Durham Locksmith was notified and parts ordered. Staff — Josh held his monthly staff meeting. Josh will order T-shirts or long sleeve shirts so staff will always be in unform and can be identified as "Staff'. Josh is still interviewing candidates for the operator's position. Inspections/Municipal Operations — No inspection was conducted for the month of October. An eleven -month warranty walkaround/inspection with MOC and Gerr was completed. ORFA Update - Josh has started the Legal Awareness #1 certificate and once completed will proceed with Level #2 time permitting. There is an Indoor Ice Season Opener and a Practical Public Health Inspection Guide Version 1. Other: CIMCO has sent their proposal. There is an induvial who wishes to book a summer sports camp — Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Josh will investigate further. 6. Financial Report —Todd provided the Board with an update of our revenue for January I' to November 12, 2024. He does not see any threats to the budget and will continue to provide regular updates to the Board. Todd asked the members of the Board if anyone had any spending items beyond norms needed in 2025. 7. Business Arising from Previous Minutes - Terms of Reference — Members of the Board met with George Acorn on October 25, 2024, but have not received an update from the municipality staff. George indicated we are covered for insurance thru the Municipality and don't need to consider any additional polices. 8. Election of Vice -Chair — Councillor Zwart open floor for nominations for the position was Vice -Chair. Jim Vinson accepted the position but only until March 31, 2025. 9. New Business — Christmas Party — After a quick discussion, it was decided that the annual Christmas Parry will be held at the Old Newcastle House in Newcastle. 10.
