5. Treasures Report - Financial Statements/ Bank Balance
a) Frank — provide Review of Financial Report — Balance: $6,377 — need to pay for
sweatshirts
b) Frank/Karen/Brad/Chad/Will - schedule meeting with CIBC to add new signing authority
- Also Gavin as he needs to be there to remove his name
6. Presentations/Delegations
Rhonda, CBOT — CBOT/Invest Clarington DRPS/Clarington Fire Joint presentation on Mar 4 —
5-7 in council chambers regarding fire prevention and youir business.
First Aid/CPR Training — 2 levels
Agricultural Summit — April 4 — 9-1 pm
Breakfast with Mayor Adrian Foster, Newcastle Town Hall, April 11
7. Business - DBIA downtown
New Business Arising out of Minutes:
Action: Brad — Introduction of new "Meet Me on Main" merch, now available (Hoodies, Baseball
Caps, Tumblers) for local business to purchase.
- Through a procurement process, the DBIA has secured hoodies for local business to
purchase. 90% of the selling price will cover the purchase of the apparel, 10% of the purchase
price will be used in future DBIA initiatives.
- In partnership with a local business (Kendal Heights Decor), we have secured baseball hats
and tumblers.
Follow Up: Brad - Email sales document, pricing guide and suppliers.
Action: Chad — discuss media project, present ideas to support DBIA's marketing objective.

Follow Up: prepare media presentation and expense
Action: Brad/Chad — Orono Fest
- Re -introduce Orono Fest idea
Follow Up: schedule meeting with events committee. It was noted that this was the Orono
Community Collective — not the events committee, that organized and put on Oronofest. The group is
no longer active. It was discussed that June would be a good date. June 14/15 or 21/22. Brad to chat
with Scott, and perhaps form a committee.
Action: Brad — Monthly Mayor Meeting with DBIA chairs
- DBIA chairs, local, provincial and federal officials will be conducting monthly meetings to share
perspective on local economic trends, funding opportunities and marketing strategies.
- DBIA members are encouraged to present questions to your DBIA chairs, as this will be a
great opportunity to table those questions.
