Our work on these lands acknowledges their resilience and their longstanding contributions to the area now known as the Municipality of Clarington In attendance — Julie Cashin-Oster, Frank Maitland, Scott Story, Brad Beckstead, *% Heather Maitland, Karen Lowery & voting by proxy — Will Davies and Michael Massario 1 - Vote on a formal request for funds from the ORONO BIA RESERVE FUND The Funding Request from the Orono BIA will require Council approval. Letter, to be sent to t:lerks(dr'clarington.net before November 20th to be included on the December 2, 2024, General Government Committee meeting Agenda. Per - Lindsey Turcotte (she/her) Committee Coordinator Legislative Services Department Municipality of Clarington 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville ON L1C 3A6 905-623-3379 ext. 2106 www.clarington.net Letter to include attachments for the following monetary requests: • Payback $2500 to the Events Committee for light retrofitting of Christmas lights and $2500 to add back into the account re money borrowed from the events committee - Weiss Electric - Total bill $5000.00 • Money to pay for a small but permanent float for parades such as Orono Fair and the Orono Santa Claus Parade — Theme "Shop Local" and "Meet Us on Main St." total$847.50 • New Banner for Antique festival — the old one has worn out. Total $1016.21 • Start up money for new line of Orono T-shirts/ hoodies — New Branding for Orono - theme is "Meet Me On Main St." — Initial Start- up funding $ 2,656.63 • Overall Total requested = $ 9,520.34 • We feel an even $10,000.00 should also cover incidentals.
