Page 2 Report No. WD -51 -86 BACKGROUND & COMMENT: A request was received from Mr. John F. McMillan to provide road grading and minor road maintenance to Concession Road 9, Lots 3 and 4 to serve the Mc Millan property. The property has been in the Mc Millan family for many years and in 1968 an entrance permit was issued in order for the Mc Millan's to obtain a building permit to construct a summer residence. District staff advise that, in the past, on accasion the road has received minimum maintenance at a level not exceeding our present approved level of service. In February 1984 the Policy for Unimproved Roads, By -law 84 -27, was passed. Subsequently the known unimproved roads which required maintenance were documented and included in the 1984 Road Needs Study Update. By formally recognizing the unimproved roads in the Needs Study, the Town was able to increase its maintenance subsidy allocation from the M.T.C. It is, therefore, respectfully recommended that the request from Mr. John F. Mc Millan to provide summer maintenance on Concession Road 9, Lots 3 and 4 former Clarke, be approved.
