Report No. WD -85 -86
111.
On January 6, 1986, a subdivision agreement was signed with P.K.
Developments Inc. The engineering plans approved provided for the
construction of an asphalt paved turning circle at the south end of -the
current phase of Timberlane Court.
Prior to construction there was much dialogue between the developer and
Public Works staff regarding the developer's wish to leave the turning
circle partially gravelled as opposed to totally paved. Staff's position
was ultimately that the turning circle was to be paved. P.K. Developments
proceeded with construction this fall and left the turning circle partially
gravelled as directed not to do by staff. Requests to have the paving
completed have not as yet been acted upon and staff have no indication that
the developer intends to complete the paving.
With the approach of winter weather and the requirement to turn Town snow
plow equipment around on the turning circle in question, staff is requesting
authorization to proceed to have the paving completed and to draw down the
developer's letter of credit to fund such work.
Respectfully submitted,
Nr on J Ough, P. Eng.,
Director of Public Works.
