REPORT #: WD -87 -86 FILE #: SUBJECT: UPGRADING OF THE ROAD ALLOWANCE BETWEEN LOTS 26 & 27, CONCESSION 8, FORMER TOWNSHIP OF CLARKE (WILLIAM ALLIN) RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended: 1. That the recommendations in Report WD -80 -86 be approved; and, 2. That the upgrading of Allin Road proceed FORTHWITH. ....2 Page 2 Report No. WD -87 -86 .IT." At the General Purpose and Administration Committee Meeting of October 6, 1986, Resolution GPA- 895 -86 was passed asking staff to report to Council to clarify the source of funding and the level of construction intended to be carried out. Report WD -80 -86 presented to Council on October 14, 1986, was intended to clarify the source of funding for the 1986 upgrading requirements (see attached). With respect to the level of construction intended, staff do not have the time to formally survey and design the road works and get anything done prior to the onset of winter. The intention is simply to provide a reasonable year round access for Mr. Allin's family by way of a gravelled road surface. A field review has indicated that several culverts are required to be installed and some earth moving and gravelling are required. An estimated $50,000.00 is required to complete the intended works.
