Minutes of Meeting – Tuesday, October 10, 2023

In Attendance – Dave Bouma - Chair Gary Oliver – Vice Chair
Todd Taylor, Sue White, Jim Vinson, Councillor Margaret Zwart,

Meeting opened at 7:03 p.m. with the Land Acknowledgement
1. Agenda - Motion #23-023
Moved by Sue White, seconded by Gary Oliver THAT: The Agenda be
accepted.
CARRIED
2. Acceptance of Minutes - Motion #23-024
Moved by Todd Taylor, seconded by Councillor Margaret Zwart THAT: The minutes of
September 12 as amended be approved.
CARRIED
3. Financial Report – Todd reported on quarterly profit and loss. Compiling expenses and lost
revenue during construction to submit and discuss with the Municipality.
4. Risk Management – Sue to contact Municipality to set up a review of deficiencies identified
in I.B. Storey triage report from Sept 23, 2020 now that construction is coming to an end.
5. New Business:
Construction Update – Dave Bouma reviewed what we saw and heard on our arena tour on
October 6, 2023. The Board would like to set up another review just prior to transfer of
ownership back to the Board. Sue White to discuss with project team to set up.
Advertising – no update.
Open House – Discussed plans to host an open house once construction is complete.
Councillor Margaret Zwart and Sue White to assist in planning with the Municipality.
Staffing – Discussed plans to bring staff back in October and replacement of our Arena
Manager who resigned last month.
6. Adjournment - The meeting was adjourned by the Chair at 9:05 p.m.
