Director, Department of Community Services DATE: July 27, 1981 SUBJECT: Resolution #CS-128-81 Lease of Park Depot 4 Mayor Garnet B. Rickard and the Director of Community Services , Thomas A. Fanning met with Mr. Harry Locke on Thursday, July 23rd, 1981 regarding leasing the Park Depot. Mr. Locke has agreed to the following rental of his. property which is (4,160) square feet. July 1st, 1981 to January 1st, 1982 The rental fee i%s per square foot. months the rental of ($8,400.00) fo December 31st, 1981 ($650.00) monthly. From to December 31st, X38.p;�, ($700.00) monthly. If ($650.00) for six (6) months, based on ($1.88) On a basis of ($700.00) monthly for twelve (12) fee is based on ($2.02) per square foot for a total r .the year 1982. The totalcost of rental would be ($7,500.00) for the year 1981. The total budget on use -of the building including lights and heat is ($10,600.00) . Recommendation: That the report of the Director of Community Services dated 'July 27th , 1981 be approved. That staff be authorized to prepare a lease agreement respecting the lease of the Parks Depot from Mr. Harry Locke. That the lease be for a term of six (6) months at a cost of ($3,900. ) payable monthly from July 1st, 1981 to December 31st, 1981. That the lease for a term of eighteen (18) months at a cost of ($12,600. ) payable monthly from January 1st, 1982 to June 30th , 1983. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the Town of Newcastle, and further, that Mr. Harry Locke, owner, of the land be so advised. TAF/sa
