SUBJECT: Bowmanville Memorial Arena - "Extended Ice Time". With reference to the report addressed to Mayor G.B. Rickard and Members of Council, dated March 31st, 1981, regarding a Net Cost Estimate of $1,706.40 to operate the Bowmanville Memorial Arena for four (4) weeks for the Ontario Junior "C" Championship Finals, which involved the Bowmanville Cowan Eagles Jr. "C" Hockey Club. The original closing date of the Arena was April 13th, 1981, but Council consented to leave the ice in due to the Championship Series. The total cost of having the Bowmanville Memorial Arena open for three (3) additional weeks was $1,462.80 total net cost.
