REPORT TO COUNCIL FOR THE MEETING HELD MAY 25, 1982

SUBJECT: GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION RESOLUTION 653 -82
KENDAL PARK
RECOMMENDATION:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Council reconsider funding Kendal Park ($5,500.00)
originally included in the 1982 Capital Forecast.
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
The Kendal Recreation Association were informed that they would have to
raise ($5,000.00) through donations to have a control fence or a over
hang screen on the present backstop in Jackson Park.
This organization has never applied to the Town for grants in the past and
have always managed to maintain their park.
As Kendal is a very small Community and they feel raising donations up to
($5,000.00) is not fair when other Communites that can raise funds throughp
donations receive a municipal grant through Park Reserve.

It is my opinion that the Kendal Recreation Association warrants reconsider-
ation of funds to install a control fence. / c�

Over the years the Kendal Recreation Association has maintained the park
area with minimal assistance from our Department.
