SUBJECT: INSTALLATION OF TWO GAS WATER HEATERS AT
DARLINGTON SPORTS CENTRE
RECOMt]ENDATI0NS:
1. That this report be received for information.
2. That the Director of Community Services be authorized
to engage Superior Propane Limited of Whitby for the
installation of two (2) gas water heaters for the
Darlington Sports Centre at a cost of $5,324.00,
plus Federal Sales Tax of $372.68. (Please find
attached.)
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
As per Budget discussions, there has been a hot water shortage at the
Darlington Sports Centre for a number of years.
The installation of the unit will solve the problems of cold showers
and lack of hot water for the making of ice. I might add,this is the
only company in the area that performs this service.

This letter will confirm our Mr. Potter's verbal quotation
regarding hot water heaters for the Sports Centre.
Superior Propane would be pleased to supply and install
(A) - 2 only Rheem 75 -360 Water Heaters c/w Duplex Manifold
(B) - Necessary 8" and 12" Gas Vent
- All gas lines
- Plumbing Connections to Existing Water Lines
- Intake Air Grill
- All necessary labour
- 1 only 1000 USWG Propane Installation c/w
2 stage regulation equipment (Tank and Regulators
On Loan)
Total Package A & B = $5324.00
Provincial Tax Included.
As an option we could also provide the 2 heaters on a rental
basis which would reduce your initial capital outlay.
2 Heaters and Manifold as in A above -
Rental Rate $1233.24 Per Annum
Billed at 154.15 Per Month
for Period Sept. - April
No Rental charge May - August
Installation as in B above .......... $1449.00
Prices quoted are firm for 90 Days from date of this quote.
