That this report be received; and 2. That the Bowmanville Jaycees Inc. be required to pay ($265.00) in lieu of ($795.00) as originally agreed upon. BACKGROUND & COMMENT: As per Council Resolution #C- 432 -82, (find attached) item 2b, "Mental fee for 1982 of ($795.00) to be paid to the Town on or before August 15th, 1982." The original agreement was for a three (3) day booking of the Darlington Sports Centre. Due to poor attendance, the Bowmanville Jaycees were forced to cancel after one days'use. The Town is in receipt of a cheque in the amount of ($265.00) received August 11, 1982. Please find attached related correspondence. Respectfully submitted, , Thomas A. Fanning, R,D.M.R. "CARRIED" Resolution #C- 434 -82 Moved by Councillor Hubbard, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT Resolution #C- 432 -82 be amended to read: Item �(a) $1,400.00 be paid to the Town on or, before October 31st 1982; ;(b) Rental fee for 1982 of $795.00 be paid to the Town on or before August 15th 1982. "CARRIED" Resolution #C- 435 -82 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Hamre THAT the delegation of Mr. Frank Hoar on behalf of Parkview for Seniors, Newcastle Village, regarding the appeal of assessment, be acknowledged and the request be referred to staff for a report back to Committee. Cunninghamas delegation be acknowledged and her brief be forwarded to staff for examination to define jhe municipality's responsibility as it relates to Provincial responsibility and report: back to Committee. Mr. David Oakes, Town Clerk The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle 40 Temperance Street BOWMANVILLE, Ontario L1C 3A6 Doar Mr. Oakes: Enclosed is a cheque in the amount of $265 for one night's rental (July 1st, 1982) of the Darlington Sports Complex. A resolution passed by Council set the rental fee at $265 x 3 = $795 to be paid by August 15th, 1982. I understand that Council will have to reconsider this resolution if the rental fee is to be changed from $795 to $265.
