SUBJECT: RESOLUTION #GPA- 597 -83 (STATUS OF WASHROOMS IN NEWCASTLE VILLAGE PARK)
RECOMMENDATION:
1. That this report be received for information.
BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:
The washrooms at Newcastle Village Memorial Park are constructed of concrete
blocks. They require manual clean out at least once per week, when in use.
Minor repairs have been made in July of this year involving painting and
reconstruction of the holding bins.
Staff will be investigating costs with regards to hooking up to the sewer,
adding wash basins and proper toilets for consideration in the 1984 budget.
The present washrooms (shovel out type) are very unsanitary and require constant
upkeep maintenance.
