SUBJECT: FLOWIERING CRAB TREES TO BE PLANTED ON MUNICIPAL PROPERTY

RECOMMENDATION:
1. That this Report on the Planting of Flowering Crab Trees be
received for information.
BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:
The Department of Community Services received twenty (20) Flowering Crab Trees to
be planted on Municipal Property at the discretion of this Department.
The trees in question were donated by the following organizations and individuals
and they are:
Bowmanville
Library 3
Bowmanville
Museum 1
Bowmanville
Kinsman Ont. 4
Men's Non Contact
Hockey League 5
Mayor G.B.
Rickard 6
B & P Club

On June 9, 1933, Flowering Crab Trees were planted at the followinn locations:
Off from the Cenotaph; Town Hall Bowmanville; Soper Creek Park entrance on
Highway #2; Bowmanville Library; Bowmanville Museum, Newcastle Fitness Centre
and The Bowmanville Cemetery also the Visual Arts Centre.
