REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF NOVEMBER 7, 1983.
REPORT NO.: WD -88 -83
SUBJECT: RELEASE OF DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
DAVIS SUBDIVISION, HAMLET OF SOLINA
PART OF LOT 25, CONCESSION 6,
FORMER TOWNSHIP OF DARLINGTON
REGISTERED PLAN NO. M -746. (Our File: D- 26 -6).
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and,
2. That the Director of Public Works be authorized to
issue a Certificate of Acceptance for the work
constructed in the subdivision, in accordance with the
Development Agreement between Ralph and Isobel Davis
and the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle; and,
3. That the Town solicitor prepare the necessary
documentation for the execution and final release of
the Development Agreement; and,
4. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to issue the
Certificate of Release on behalf of the Town.

Background and Report
In June of 1980, The Town of Newcastle entered into a
Development Agreement with Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Davis to
construct a residential subdivision in the Hamlet of Solina.
Resolution No. GPA -28 -81 placed the subdivision on a
two -year maintenance program expiring October 19, 1983.
The subdivision has been inspected by the Public Works
Department and the owners have constructed and maintained
the works in accordance with the terms and conditions of the
Development Agreement, and to the satisfaction of the Town.
The owners have indicated that they have complied with all
requirements of the agreement and therefore request a Final
Release.
