REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF MARCH 5, 1983.
REPORT NO.: WD -24 -84
SUBJECT: 1984 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and,
2. That staff be authorized to advertise tenders for
the supply, delivery and placing of Road Oil, Prime
and Surface Treatment, and asphalt patching
materials; and,
3. That the expenditure be in accordance with 1984
budget approvals.
BACKGROUND AND REPORT:
In the early spring of each year it is procedure for the
Public Works Department to call tenders for the supply of
various road maintenance materials which are to be used in
conjunction with the Town's road maintenance program.

The first tenders to be advertised are those associated with
road surfacing and dust control.
This report is in request for the authorization to initiate
the tendering procedure in respect to road maintenance
materials.
All expenditures to be in accordance with 1984 Public Works
Budget approvals.
