SUBJECT: "INTERNATIONAL YOUTH YEAR"
RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received for information.
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
Further to resolution #C- 142 -85, staff has contacted the IYY Co- ordination Unit as
per Council's request.
The Community Services Department has received the materials related to the promo-
tion of International Youth Year. Staff is currently reviewing the information
and will be forwarding recommendations as to the Town's involvement.
As the departments budget does not allow for specialized programming, I would
assume that our role would be of a co- ordinating and /or promotional nature.
