3.3 As soon as additional manpower is available, staff will commence the
necessary study to arrive at policies for Council's consideration. Matters
such as type, colour, material and location of fences as well an landscaping
criteria along arterial road in reverse lot frontage situation will be
dealt with through this study.
2.3 In the interim, staff have made some adjustments to the Town's standard
aobdivlolmu agreement. One of such adjustments is stipulating the minimum
standard of fencing being six foot high privacy wood fence (pressure treated
wood) . Currently, fencing is not defined in the subdivision agreement. As a
result, most subdividers installed chain link fences that do not provide for
<
privacy screening. This situation often results in individual home owners
adding on their own privacy fences in assorted materials and colours and
thus causing the most unappealing otreetanape.
Respectfully submitted, Recommended for presentation
to the Committee
