SUBJECT: NCSAB 1987 WORK PROGRAM PROPOSAL
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the Newcastle Community Services Advisory Board
and Council received the following report CS -65 -86 for discussion.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
As your Chairman, I have along with staff, identified what I feel are the most
important work projects for our Board for 1987. This is a suggested list only and
other project suggestions from the Board and Council are welcomed:
Parkland Policy Committee
This committee was established to update and revise existing parkland policies etc.
The committee will phase this work some will be complete in 1986 and the remainder in
Hamm
Grants Policy Committee
This committee was set up to update our existing grants policy. The new grant
application is complete however, final presentation of the new policy is not expected
until early in 1987.
Master Plan Update
The bulk of our work -load for the remainder of 1987 should be to update the Master
Plan.
