DATE: NOVEMBER 3, 1986
REPORT #: CS -60 -86 FILE #:
SUBJECT: DAMAGE - NEWCASTLE TENNIS COURTS LIGHTS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following: -
1. That Report CS -60 -86 be received; and
2. That the replacement cost ($1,009.51) of the damaged Newcastle Tennis
Court light be funded from the Self Insured Losses Reserve account
(2900- 00002 -X -7).
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
In as much as it is council's policy to require damage reports involving funding from
our Self Insured Losses Reserve account the following is before committee for
approval.
A severe storm in late July was responsible for damaging the casing of one light
fixture at the Newcastle tennis courts adjacent to the Newcastle Lions Pool. Some
difficulty was encountered in obtaining a replacement fixture; however, a replacement
fixture has now been secured at a cost of $1,009.51.
It is staff's recommendation that this item be funded from the Self Insured Losses
Reserve account 2900 - 00002 -X -7.
