That Report CS -51 -86 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMFNTS_ During the past few months a number of developments have taken place in our department as follows: Department Offices Moved Please note that our department offices have now been moved from the Bell Building to the Fire Hall, 132 Church St. Please also note that the Mayor and Treasury Departments have moved to the Veltri Complex, 68 King St. East and the Clerk /Administrators offices have moved to the Bell Building. New Arena Project Council have approved the construction of a new twin pad arena at highway #2 and #57; Wintario funding has been approved; a fundraising committee is in the process of being established for the project and preliminary design and specifications for the project have been submitted to Council. ../2 TOWN OF NEWCASTLE COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD Report #CS -51 -86 Page 2• Fall /winter Brochure The fall /winter department community activity guide has now been distributed to all house holds in our Town. Park Policy Committee This committee has met several times this summer and hopes to have a preliminary report to the Board and Council this Fall. Liability Insurance Workshop This workshop is scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 1986, 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Base Line Community Centre.
