SUBJECT: ARENA SITE PLAN. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATIONS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following: -
1. That Report CS -49 -86 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
On August 15, 1986 several arena committee members visited five (5) Twin Pad Arenas in
the area for the purpose of evaluating their design and functionality. From these
visits and consultations with Minor Hockey, Figure Skating and the Junior C Hockey
Club staff have compiled a preliminary set of specifications attached.
From these specifications the writer has drafted one (1) conceptual design of what the
complex could look like. This design is for discussion purposes only and may in no way
reflect the final product.
A site plan of the facility as drafted by the Planning Department will be on display
at the meeting.
