Purpose
Put together formal request for Council and send minutes to Lindsey Patenaude
1 — Request monies from our big box fund for the following as it applies to downtown
beautification & function
a, b,& c — Invoicing/Quotes from James Printing & Signs, Bowmanville
a — Pole Banner - Canadian Flag Invoice - # 2-15621 — $1,472.03
b - Pole Banner— Winter Flags — Quote # OROBIA012423-CM - $1,528.96 plus HST =
$1727.73
c - Trail Map signs - Head of Sidney B Rutherford trail — invoice # 2-15620 - $550.17
d — Quote to come for Led solar lights to light the big Orono sign on 115 hwy south
end $2486
2 — Request Invoice from Gavin Crabb for donation & installation of TV Screen at Orono
Arena
3 — Cancel Hydro for the lights on the big Orono Sign at the south end. To be replaced
with Solar lighting.
4 — Request for the annual Levy of $6000.00 has been confirmed by Gavin
5 — Ask Timothy Jackson for link to businesses on the Screen at Orono Arena for
proofing. Fee should be set if businesses are advertising.
6 — Spring Request to the Town
a — West sides of Main Street poles to be painted black before June 01 st/23
b — Rutherford trail entrance to be landscaped and made to look like an entrance to the
trails.
Car that is parked there — ask to have it parked somewhere else. People are hesitant to
walk past.
c — We have a tenant parking issue on the main street using up customer
spaces. Requesting parking enforcement to check daily in our town on the main
street. Not enough parking available.
7 - Speak to both Marg Zwart and Willie Woo in regard to taking our concerns to
council.
8.Updates from the Town
a — Bike repair station - requested 2-3 years ago
b — EV station again requested 2-3 years ago pre-covid
c — How is the road exchange between Durham Region & the Municipality
coming? Timeline?
