By-law 2023-001
Being a By-law to amend By-law 2014-094, a by-law to
establish a municipal service board to control and manage
activities at the Newcastle Village Community Hall
Whereas Council passed Resolution #GG-013-23, arising out of Report LGS-003-23, to amend
By-law 2014-094 to decrease from two Members of Council to one, being either Ward 4 Local
Councillor or Regional Councillor Wards 3 and 4;
Now therefore be it enacted that By-law 2014-094 be amended as follows:
That Section 4 preamble to deleted and replaced with the following:
"The Board shall have six directors who shall be appointed/elected as follows"
2. That Section 4 (c) be deleted and replaced with the following:
"Council shall appoint one member of Council, being either the Ward
4 Local Councillor or the Regional Councillor Wards 3 and 4 for the
term of Council or a successor is appointed."
3. That the following sentence in Section 6 be deleted:
"The two Councillors appointed under section 40 shall hold office for
the term of Council."
