SUBJECT: HOME SHOW 1987
RECOMMENDATIONS:

It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following: -
1. That Report CS -17 -87 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
A request was made of the municipality by the Bowmanville Chamber of Commerce in
conjunction with the Bowmanville Kinsmen Club to participate by operating a display
booth at their upcoming Home Show.
It was suggested that the Community Services Department organize a display on behalf
of the Town outlining services offered and previewing our major projects.
Department Staff have organized a display which will provide information in the
following categories:
- The New Arena
- The New Administration Centre
- Parkland Development
- Department Programs and Services

The event is to take place at the Darlington Sports Centre on Friday, May 8 and
Saturday, May 9, 1987 and staffed by various Community Services personnel from 10 a.m.
to 10 p.m. both days. Each staff member will be updated in areas they are not
currently working with in order to answer general inquiries from the public.
