RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following: -
1. That Report CS -18 -87 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
A request was made of the Community Services Department by the Town of Newcastle
Community Care Committee to participate in a "Health Fair" which is designed to
promote awareness of the various agencies which offer services promoting good health.
Our display will offer information related to the department's activities with an
emphasis on our various fitness programs which are available year round.
The "Fair" will be held at the Bowmanville Lions Centre on Wednesday, May 13, 1987
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Department personnel will staff our display providing
information on the Community Services Department's role in promoting a "Healthy" Town
of Newcastle.
