That Report # CS -13 -87 be received for information and direction. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: Based on the discussion of Report #CS -11 -87 at the March 4th meeting the following action has taken place: 1) The Bowmanville Lions Centre has been verbally confirmed for Thursday, May 14, 1987 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 2) The following resource people have been verbally confirmed for the above date: a) Ministry of Tourism & Recreation (Wintario) Field Consultant (Note: Tom Horlor will no longer be working for the Ministry at this time but promises his replacement will attend). b) Ministry of Citizenship & Culture Field Consultant - Ted Paget c) Health & Welfare Canada (New Horizons) Field Representative - Marlis Lindsay 3) Mr. Ken Wyman and Mr. Greg Burns were contacted as potential session leaders for the Fundraising session. However, both professionals believe the subject deserves a minimum of three hours in order to be worthwhile for the participants. Therefore, it is suggested that the topic of Fundraising be run as a separate workshop possibly later in the year. ../2 Newcastle Community Services Advisory Board WORKSHOP FOR TOWN VOLUNTEERS REPORT NO. CS -13 -87 Page 2. The attached Schedules recommend a proposed agenda and budget for the Volunteer Workshop. The target group suggested for this workshop would include all Town of Newcastle recreational and cultural organizations including hall boards, service clubs, neighbourhood associations, sports groups, library and museum boards, arts and cultural groups and seniors.
