It is respectfully recommended that Council adopt the following:
1. That Report NCSAB -21 -87 be received; and
2. That a N.C.S.A.B. sub - committee be appointed to sit on the Project
Team for the New Bowmanville Arena; and
3. That the following members of the N.C.S.A.B. be appointed to the
Arena Sub - Committee:
1) Arlene Yeo - Representing Ward 1
2) Randy MacGillivray - Representing Ward II
3) Bill Tomlinson - Representing Ward III
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
At the March meeting of the N.C.S.A.B. a resolution was presented and carried with
respect to requesting representation of the N.C.S.A.B. on the New Arena Project Team.
It is felt by committee members that as part of the mandate of the Advisory Board
involvement in facility planning for the community should fall within their scope of
responsibilities as previously determined by Council.

Further the committee is of the opinion that their representation may in fact enhance
Council's position in promoting this important facility through our municipality.
