1989 FACILITIES CAPITAL PROTECTS WORK PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose &
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: -
1. That Report No. CS -13 -89 be received for information.
BACKGROUND &COMMENTS:
The purpose of this report is to familiarize Members of Council
with the Community Services Department's 1989 Facilities Capital
Project Work Program.
As in previous years a majority of the projects will be performed
under contract from outside sources. Contracting does leave the
Town schedules subject to the contractors prior commitments to other
clients, the supply and availability of goods and materials and the
capability and number of employees available. As such, it should
be noted that the attached schedule is for the most part a guide for
staff and is subject to change from time to time.

Staff are cognizant that some facilities are being reviewed as to
the practicality of the municipality retaining ownership and may be
subject during the course of the year to further direction from
Council. Funds and tasks for capital repairs to those facilities
will be appropriately deferred until later in the season and pending
any decision.
Should further clarification be required or should questions on
specific sites arise during the.course of the season the Community
Services Department will be available to answer inquiries.
