Voluntarism has a high profile these days. In part, this is because programs like the Volunteer Awards recognize that volunteers are a precious resource and must be appreciated. But the profile is also high because of the changing face of voluntarism and the demand for new sources of volunteers. In either case, it is important to keep reminding ourselves of the value and scarcity of volunteers and it is in this sense that the Volunteer Awards Program has a significant role to play. Please, then, use this opportunity to recognize your volunteers and submit your nominations for the program. Sincerely, go 6 " v Bob Wong Minister of Citizenship Christine E.
