1990 PARKS & CEMETERY DEVELOPMENT / UPGRADING WORK PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose &
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:-
1. That Report No. CS -11 -90 be received for information.
1.0 BACKGROUND:
1.1 The purpose of this report is to advise Council of the
proposed schedules for park development and upgrading recently
approved during the 1990 budget deliberations.
2.0 COMMENTS:
2.1 As in previous years the majority of the projects will be
contracted to outside forces. In such circumstances the
completion of these projects are dependent on availability of
contractors, materials, delivery, weather conditions, and the
suitable season for performing various horticultural tasks.
The attached schedule is a guide and some variance may occur
due to the above uncontrollable factors.

2.2 Staff is addressing all projects expeditiously with special
attention to projects of previously identified urgency. At
appropriate points during the year staff will advise Council
through a further report of the status of the projects and
additional information which may become available.
