The CIBC Run for the Cure is on Sunday, October 5, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. (Motion to approve the request to fly the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation street banner at Highway #2 and Regional Road 57, Bowmanville) D - 2 Jennine Agnew -Kata, Executive Director, Literacy Network of Durham Region, requesting Council to proclaim the week of September 8 to September 15, 2003, as International Adult Learner's Week. Almost 50% of Canadians struggle with words and numbers. This statistic means that many of the people in our community are not able to learn about or take advantage of the products and services available in our community.
