THAT the Hampton Community Hall Board be advised of Council's decision. 1.0 BACKGROUND: 1.1 During the 1995 Budget deliberations resolution GPA- 222 -95 was approved requesting the Director of Community Services to prepare a report addressing the need, cost and funding to install a drop ceiling in the Hampton Community Hall. 1.2 On Thursday, May 18, 1995 the Director met with representatives of the Hall Board to determine the extent of the project requested. 1.3 It was established that the main hall and the kitchen required a drop ceiling to improve the aesthetics and acoustics of the building which in turn would make the hall more functional, enabling the Board to attract rentals which it might not have in the past. 1.4 It was further agreed to replace the existing ceiling tiles in the men's washroom which were badly stained due to a water problem which has since been rectified.
