ACT: SENTINEL LIGHT - BOWMANVILLE RECREATION COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose &
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:-
1. That Report No. CS-02-91 be received; and
2 . That the Community Services Department be directed to install
sentinel lighting at the main entrance of the Bowmanville
Recreation Complex.
1.0 BACKGROUND:
1 . 1 The General Purpose and Administration Committee directed the
Director of Community Services and the Director of Public
Works to investigate and report to the January 21, 1991
General Purpose and Administration meeting on the cost of a
dusk to dawn light at the Highway #2 entrance to the
Bowmanville Recreation Complex.
2.0 REPORT:
2 . 1 A sentinel light can be installed on the site at the entrance
opposite the existing marquis sign. Due to the voltage
difference an additional transformer will be required to
supply the service. Approximate cost for this service is

$40 . 00/month. The capital costs for this project would be the
supply and installation of a 35 foot pole at a cost of
approximately $1,000.00 .
2 .2 If we proceed at this time, expected installation date would
be March 1991.
