REPORT NO. WD -65 -84
REPORT:
In 1981 discussions and Council deliberations pertaining to
land exchanges, zonings, etc., related to construction of an
interchange on Highway 35/115 at Kirby, the matter of
directional signing for the Clarke Museum and Archives was
considered. It would appear that Council did agree at that
time to consider directional signs.
The Museum Board would now like to have the signs installed,
and in accordance with M.T.C. Policy on such matters, (see
attached), the recommendations of this report are
appropriate. As there is involvement of three agencies,
M.T.C., the Region and the Town, it is recommended that the
Town co- ordinate the required actions and, in fact, supply
and install the signs on both Regional Road 9 and Concession
Road 7. Costs associated with such installation would be
about $300 and could be charged to the Town's Street Sign
Account 7211 -X- 00422 -X.
Respectfully submitted,
R.G. Dupuis, P. Eng.,
Director of Public Works.
